The idea that generosity is a uniquely human phenomenon has been debunked in numerous scientific studies demonstrating that other animals (including rats and chimps) regularly engage in generous behaviors. Now this latest study has shown that dogs can also act quite generously–especially towards dogs they are already friends with.
A new study has now confirmed the prosocial behavior of food sharing exists among canines. The more complex methodology of the study showed that even the mere presence of another dog makes the animals more generous.
